Gelsenkirchen: efficient recycling
TRIMET ALUMINIUM AG’s Gelsenkirchen plant is one of the most state-of-the-art aluminium recycling plants in Europe. It is linked with our Harzgerode recycling plant and research centre and produces and recycles close to our customers: mainly for the motor, electrical and machine-building industries. About 50 employees produce standard alloys and special alloys to the customers’ specifications.
Materials used are scraps from industrial production and the recycling sector as well as residues from aluminium production. Thus, TRIMET can provide its customers not only with price safety in the scrap business but also individual solutions from one source.
Since the takeover of the plant, TRIMET has continued to invest in new, trend-setting technologies.
A method of modernisation consistently pursued to safeguard jobs and to conserve the environment: permanent process optimisation made it possible to steadily continue to reduce energy consumption, waste volumes and emissions.
