In 1975, after successfully completing his education at the grammar school for the promotion of young talents in Frankfurt, Wolfgang Zwingenberger did his military service in Bad Mergentheim. Subsequently, he was attracted by the metal industry.

In the yaers 1977-1987, he worked with Metallgesellschaft AG Frankfurt, first as an apprentice and after that immediately as an aluminium trader. In 1988, he moved to Zug in Switzerland, where, in his position as department head, he was able to obtain further experience in the international raw material trade with Marc Rich + Co AG located there.

As the co-founder of the raw material trading company Glencore in Switzerland he was responsible for this company’s global aluminium trade from 1993 to 1997.

Since the foundation of Trimet AG Zug in the year 1998 and in his position as MD, Wolfgang Zwingenberger has successfully managed our businesses in a modern, but at the same time traditional environment of aluminium trade in Switzerland.
