TRIMET welcomes a new member to the Executive Board: Luigi Mattina, member of the Honsel Executive Board, moves to Germany’s largest aluminum producer

Luigi Mattina (44) takes up a position on the Executive Board of TRIMET ALUMINIUM AG, Essen, with effect from November 1, 2011. The mechanical engineering graduate (Diplom-Ingenieur) and trained machine fitter moves to TRIMET from Honsel AG, Meschede.

After holding previous positions at AEG and following a career spanning more than ten years at Alcoa, he held the position of Managing Director at Honsel during the opening of their factory in Nuremburg in 2006.

Since fall 2010, Mr. Mattina has been a member of the Executive Board at Honsel and COO with responsibility for production at the company, which has sites in Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil. Mr. Mattina will complete the Executive Board at TRIMET that includes Dr. Martin Iffert (Chairman of the Executive Board), Thomas Reuther, and Martin Söffge. As a result of his core expertise in the area of automobile production, he will primarily strengthen and successfully develop this division at TRIMET. Mr. Mattina is married and has three children.
