Luigi Mattina

After successfully concluding his training as a machine fitter and subsequently completing a mechanical engineering degree with a focus on design engineering at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Luigi Mattina (born in 1966) started his career with AEG Aktiengesellschaft in Mülheim an der Ruhr in 1992. He joined Alcoa Inc. three years later and assumed responsibility for Alcoa Automotive GmbH in Soest. He was initially employed as a coordinator and later became the head of the Business & Operations Analysis department. Among other things, he was responsible here for the company’s supply chain management.

Mr. Mattina was later appointed European manager for various company divisions at five Alcoa locations in Europe. In 2000, he became assistant factory manager and one year later factory manager and Managing Director of Alcoa Automotive Soest GmbH in Soest. He was named Director of Manufacturing Europe and Managing Director of Alcoa Automotive GmbH in 2004.

Mr. Mattina joined the management team at Honsel AG in fall 2006 at their location in Nuremburg, and was then appointed as a member of the Group management at Honsel AG in April 2008. He was subsequently appointed as a member of the Executive Board in 2010.

Mr. Mattina was appointed as a member of the Executive Board at TRIMET ALUMINIUM AG with effect from November 1, 2011. As a result of his core expertise in the area of automobile production, he will primarily strengthen and successfully develop this division at TRIMET.
